5) THE IMPROVEMENTS
There are 3 lodges on this farm, as well as a game ranger house, a storeroom and workers quarter.
All the game, furniture, decoration, linen, crockery, cutlery, etc, are excluded in the sale (valued at around R1.5 million).
It is a typical 310 m² African bush lodge. It comprises 4 large en-suite bedrooms (with air conditioning),a dining room, living room and kitchen as well as a large patio, a braai area, a swimming pool and a game room (with a pool table, tennis table and dart board). The house is situated next to the hill and at about 2.5 km from the main road.
The unique architecture of this 275 m² lodge is inspired from the incredible traditional building from northern Benin (West Africa). It is a double storey building with one en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. From the living room, you can watch the game drinking at a dam, 50 meters away. There is a patio and a braai area.
On the first floor, you find 2 en-suite bedrooms, with a view on the hill. There is also a terrace from which you can enjoy the sunset and a see the dam. You can sleep at night on bed camps on the terrace. At about 20 meters from the main building, there is a rondavel with a bedroom, shower, toilet and outside bathroom. There is also a thatched game room and a nice fenced swimming pool.
This lodge is inspired from the well know Ndebele tribe and its colorful paintings. Parts of the outside and inside walls were painted by 4 young Ndebele artists from a typical Ndebele village. The total size of the building is about 260 m².
It includes 3 buildings (2 are disabled friendly): a main building with an en-suite bedroom, a dining room, living room and kitchen. On top of this building, there is a huge terrace from which you have a view on the whole game reserve and where you can sleep at night, have a braai, and deploy your telescope for some interesting stargazing. There is also a covered patio with a braai area and a swimming pool. The second building comprises 2 en-suite bedroom with a terrace on top and a small patio under a tree to meditate about the meaning of life. The third building is a rondavel, with a bedroom, shower, toilet and an outside bathroom with a bath and a shower so that you can relax while watching the sky or the tranquillity of the hill disturbed by the call from the Nyala staying nearby. There is also a game room with a pool table, tennis table and dart board. 3 x rooms have Air Conditioners fitted - Main building and 2 top rooms.
This house has 2 bedrooms plus a third one on the mezzanine, a bathroom, toilet, dining room, living room and a braai area. Air Conditioner fitted.
The workers house - there are 4 bedrooms, 1 dining room, 2 toilets 2 showers and a TV room. It comprises of 2 rooms and a huge storage place. There is also a 6 m² cold room.
