Located in the Malaria Free just north of the Waterberg mountain range of South Africa, near the Town of Ellisras in the Limpopo Province, is a truly well managed, well developed Game farm. Overlooking the Waterberg Mountains from a certain area of on farm, releases a pulse to the rhythm of Africa’s heartbeat deep within your soul. This game farm proudly portrays a true picture of well managed and productive game farm in South Africa.
The farm roads give good access to different sections of the farm. The farm has several kilometres of roads plus plenty of additional easy accessible game trails to explore the farm by foot. The veld “padjies” and main internal roads are well maintained.
The property is fenced in with 21 wire game fencing electrified with electrical wires [6 live wires on outside of the fence] and additional “bonnox”-fencing for about 12km for extra resistance to keep small game in.
Each of the farm houses and the hunters- camp are fenced in with security fencing and the lodge with related improvements are fenced in with similar electrified game fencing.
Animal handling facilities
58 cubicles each with water and shade for buck species; 2 cubicles with water and shade for giraffes and 3 cubicles each with water and shade for buffalo and larger animals.

Breeding & Quarantine camps
250 Hectares are fenced in with 21 wires game fencing electrified with 12 live electrical wires; with its own water infrastructure of 1 borehole with 2 x 5000 litre water tanks and 3 cement water outlets; for breeding purposes. 2 x 4 hectares are fenced in with 21 wires game fencing with diamond mesh; also electrified; for quarantine and/or special observation purposes.
9 equipped boreholes about 120 m deep with sufficient delivering capacity of about 5 500litres/hour. 7 boreholes are equipped with submersible pumps from Eskom power supply; and 2 boreholes equipped with submersible pumps from solar power supply.
Also 4 unequipped boreholes for future use.
2 x concrete structured dams are built in the Klip River to accommodate hippopotamus, crocodiles and indigenous fish species.
The distribution of water is well planned to provide sufficient water for domestic- and for animal use with 5 cement dams, a number of water tanks and 16 water outlets for game.
7 graded earth dams with water supply and 4 graded dams with seasonal water; add to the water outlets for animals.
Four types of soil are identified:
1) Eutrophic Upland Duplex soils (about 10% of area)
2) Mispah & Glenrosa soils (about 20% of area)
3) Lime rare Mispha & Glenrosa soils (about 20% of area)
4) Red & Yellow Apedale freely drained soils (about 50% of area)
Rainfall: 350 - 550mm annually.
Temperatures: Summer - max. 42 ºC and min. 17 ºC.
Winter - max. 27 ºC and min. 5 ºC.
Climate: The Ellisras area has a unique healthy climate. The summer night temperatures drop down to below 17 ºC, which makes it bearable without a need of air-conditioning.
